Irish Rapeseed Oil is derived from the rapeseed plant which grows very well in Ireland. The seed of the plant is cold pressed, filtered and bottled - its all natural and there are no other additives. Rapeseed oil has half the saturated fat of all the other oils, its rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9, it will help lower your cholesterol and its ideal for cooking as it wont burn as easy as other vegetable or olive oils. Unlike olive oil, which can turn toxic when overheated, rapeseed oil has a high flashpoint which means when you cook your steak on it in an oven at 450F, it wont smoke out your house like olive oil will. It will not overwhelm a mayonnaise as olive oil can. And the cold-pressed variety that makes such a delicate dressing will not burn or transmute when used to fry or roast. It makes wonderful golden roasties and saute potatoes. It can even be used in baking as a butter substitute. You can add chopped up garlic and onions to a half a cup of rapeseed oil for bread dip, place in the refrigerator for as long as you want, and it wont turn white like olive oil. The oil has considerable health benefits, with half the saturated fat of olive oil and lots of omegas.
